St Patrick’s Cathedral
New York City
I love interesting architectural details. The arches in the narthex of this cathedral intrigued me; especially the repetition. I took this photo under low light conditions and liked the black and white version better than the color one.
While I enjoyed the beauty of this building it felt less like a church than many cathedrals I’ve been in. Perhaps it was the gift shop inside the narthex; that seemed really odd to me.
This church was the last tourist stop I made in NYC before leaving for the airport. On this same day, I visited Liberty Island, Ellis Island, Museum of Modern Art, Museum of Arts and Design, and St. Patrick’s Cathedral. On a day with record cold temperatures (14 degrees) and snow. And me with bronchitis. Nothing like adrenaline to get a tourist through the day!
Do you have any idea how hard it is to find a Dr. Pepper in NYC? Nearly impossible.

I like the B + W version, too.
You ran around like that with bronchitis?! Crazy, but amazing.
I don’t know why, but Dr. Pepper is hard to find out here. Though you can usually find it in the supermarkets … not that there are any in Manhattan.
