For my birthday I received the most amazing chocolate I have ever tasted.
Chocolate with lavender.
I couldn’t believe what I was seeing when I untied the ribbon, and immediately took a bite from one of the two pieces nestled in their tiny package.
It was AMAZING. Food fit for a goddess, yet meant for me! My son heard me exclaiming and asked for a taste, but I had to put him off long enough to photograph the one piece still untouched. Then I let him have a bite. But just a small one.
I was sweetly spoiled by dear friends with all sorts of comforts ~ chocolate, champagne, tea, knitting accoutrements, food, sweets ~ balm for the heart and soul. Rather than boast of it all here, I’ll tell you about it little by little, in the coming days.
But these chocolates! Anne, Margene–wherever did you find them? I must have a source! Thank you for your sustaining friendship (and excellent taste in chocolate!)

Xocolate! It’s the best place in Utah. The best chocolate for the best grrl around.

Happy belated brithday, you goddess, you!
