March 2007
Central Park, New York City
Not a particularly stirring photo, but an apt sentiment for my life the last few days. I do like the touch of purple—
I photographed this on the third of March, an unseasonably warm, springlike day, a couple days before a record cold snap and bronchitis to go with it. It was truly a memorable adventure, spent with my friend and co-worker Kim; we meandered from the Upper West Side through Central Park (via The Dakota and a chat with the doorman), to Washington Square (where I promptly lost a chess game to a charming man ~ well worth the five bucks), the Bowery (searching for the old CBGB’s location), East Village (including a nose piercing–Kim, not me), Times Square, Canal Street, Little Italy.
I really loved New York. Everything’s there.
Except, of course, that which is most precious to me. They’re here.
