It was such a good idea–why’d they have to go and ruin it?
I picked up some Addi Turbo Lace needles while in Oregon. “Sharp tips enhance lace and sock knitting.” Sounds great, I think. Charlotte could use a little enhancement. “Hollow, coated brass tips.” Yes, it’s right there on the package; yet, I didn’t really think about what “brass coated” meant.
It means they stink. And so do my hands. I cannot bear it, no matter how groovy it is to knit with those long sharp points. So Charlotte is back on the old school Addi Turbos, and that’s they way it has to be.
Grrr.

Hmmm, I rather like them.

I’ve wanted to try the Addi lace needles, but now maybe I won’t. Right now I’m loving the knitpicks needles. I think their sharp points are like the Addi lace needles, but they don’t have any odor that I’ve noticed.
