This is SWEET. From Slate.com (via Boing Boing) Jessica Vitkus, author of Alternacrafts, makes the following awesome statement:

Presidential candidates take note: Knitting is no longer a hobby. It’s a lifestyle.

Yay-yeh! It’s just what we’ve been pining for–political clout. And according to Vitkus, we’ve got it:

Forget NASCAR dads and security moms—it’s the craft vote that can no longer be ignored.

Oh-h-h, snap. We’re crafty, and we’re just their type. Heh.
