Owner of Clean Flicks, a Utah-based company that offered editing services so those who shun R-rated movies could enjoy the “cleaned-up” G-rated versions, arrested for paying minors for sex and possessing, um, non-clean flicks in the back room.

Smith read that to me from the paper…we got a good laugh. Isn’t that always the way it is? The holier than thou folks are the most corrupt.

Posted 29 Jan 2008 at 6:12 am ¶My friend texted me about it and, like Susan, I laughed and laughed. Mostly because I always thought it was stupid to edit movies like that. Even when I WAS Mormon I felt it was infringing on the artist’s work and that a lot of movies if you took out the R rated parts, it wouldn’t even be worth watching. Like Amistad. The “Clean” version of Amistad was a joke.
But the whole thing isn’t surprising. It fits the MO of “pose clean and righteous for the world so you can hide the horrible things you do in secret” life that seems to be so prevalent here.

I have always thought it funny that it is ok to use one word but not another that means the exact same thing.
