This “lovely” vest is one of the first things I ever knit, way back in 2002, and as I was knitting I awaited the moment I could wear it with sweet anticipation. Sadly, it went horribly wrong, but I was so inexperienced I kept myself in denial until the very end.
I learned a valuable lesson about gauge, however, and did do a pretty good job of matching the Noro colorway. In case you cannot tell, it is gargantuan. More of a tunic than a vest, actually.
I’ve never frogged it, for sentimental reasons, though lately I’ve been thinking about recovering the yarn or even fulling it. Any suggestions?![]()
I finally plied the Spinderella’s Thrums that I first spun last October. I ended up with about 170 yards of DK weight fuzzy yarn, but it’s pretty! The colorway is called “Enchanted Forest.”
