Evolution of My Handspun

evolution-of-handspun.jpg

From left to right:
Spinderella’s Thrums in Peaches and Berries, my first bobbin ever.
Spinderella’s Thrums in Enchanted Forest, my second bobbin ever.
Spunky Eclectic’s Ravelry BFL, an evolutionary throwback (I blame Chris)
Spunky Eclectic’s Dogwood BFL, spun, plied, and then cabled.
Spunky Eclectic’s Goblin Eyes, my first “good” yarn
Spunky Eclectic’s Pie for Everyone, not quite as even, but still pretty!
Wasatch Watercolours BFL, spun thick and thin (not on purpose!) but it plied beautifully. This will be a hat for James.

Now on the wheel: Louet Corriedale top, trying to be fingering weight but not quite making it, I fear. The learning continues.

Just kidding, Chris!

You blame me, I blame….um….you didn’t even have any beer, did you?

I know! It was the walking wheel! I just bought a carpet, so the problem should be fixed. Maybe I can convince Nathan to take the kids to Mexico and we can give it another shot-

yay for Mexico! Excellent plan. I’ve read up on the walking wheel; apparently it comes from pressing on the treadle before the rotation is complete, or something like that.

Perhaps I SHOULD have had beer–that might have helped!
