Have you checked out any of the locally made brands? I'm not sure about Fendall's, but I know that Spotted Dog Creamery uses all-natural ingredients, and I haven't had anything from them that wasn't incredible.

Oh! I am SO with you. Don't mess with my ice cream flavors. You might just as well boil a bunny. But not a blue bunny.

That chocolate sauce looks yummy. Must. Check. Out.

We've got a countertop Cuisinart which I don't recommend as it rarely is cold enough to freeze.

Love that Spotted Dog ice cream.

I had an ice cream maker for a while, but it just never really tasted all that creamy to me. The flavor was good, but it still seemed more like ice milk, even when I was making it with all cream. I think it's because it doesn't have the air whipped into it like the commercial stuff. Probably the old-fashioned kind that use salt and hand cranking make better ice cream. I do stop at Fendall's once in a while when I see an interesting flavor on their marquee. Larry likes the black licorice.
