Did you see the survey results recently that showed that Daily Show/Cobert Report viewers were some of the best informed people in terms of politics and current events? They handily beat viewers of normal network news and left viewers of Fox News in the dust.
Of course, that’s correlation and not causation. In order to find the shows funny, I think you do have to have a good baseline understanding of what’s going on in the world.
