This time last year, with a paltry eleven FO’s for 2007, I made the following statement regarding goals for 2008–
I have no knitting goals for 2008. Well, actually, I have one–a combined knitting, spinning, exercise, weight loss, health, decluttering, and everything else goal–to get a goddamn divorce already. That would be nice.
Not only did said divorce (finally) come through, but I also managed to start knitting and spinning again. Even better, I met a terrific guy that is making 2009 even better than I hoped. Lucky, lucky me.
So, with minimum hoopla, I present the FO’s of 2008, in all their glory:

Handspun – Pie For Everyone colorway

Handspun – Goblin Eyes colorway

Handspun – Spring Violets colorway
April

Come Dancing – (only knit one to work out the pattern)
May

Fluke – (only knit one to work out the pattern)

Twinkle, Twinkle – (only knit one to work out the pattern)
July
I guess I didn’t finish anything in July–odd.
October

Filigree – (only knit one to work out the pattern)

You did a TON of beautiful spinning! And I love your beaded bags (including your new one on Ravelry).

Posted 15 Jan 2009 at 2:59 pm ¶Lovely things, but what are you going to do with all those poor lonely socks?
Posted 15 Jan 2009 at 3:47 pm ¶Nice. I can’t help noticing how the year’s projects started out, for the most part, fairly neutral and colorless. As the year progressed, you got your damn divorce already, and things started looking up and brighter, color worked itself into your projects in a serious way! Knitting psychology? Therapy, for sure.

Some day I will knit good. Today is not that day.
Some day I will learn to spin, since real spinners will not consent to knit my beautiful maddie’s hair for me. Maddie is my old dog whose days are numbered, but whose beautiful coat must be preserved in something. So I am saving her shedding for that day.
